  2. Nigerian child.

So my mother signed me up for our church’s good women conference, without my knowledge unfortunately. So trying to be optimistic, I’ma look forward to this trip and look at it as a traveling experience. I’ll be in l a state that I’ve never been to (Pennsylvania) so hey that can be a thing to add to my ‘haven’t been to’ list.

  3. Got me up all night..

All I’m singing is love songs..

  4. Lemme renew my mind

  5. Happy Mother’s Day Mommy.

Mi amor. My angel. My superwoman. I love and adore her. And when I think of all she did for my family, I have nothing but the utmost respect for her. She’s not perfect and I don’t want her to be. Because when they say ‘your imperfections make you beautiful’ she’s all of that. To the T. Down to the center. And while we may disagree, she’s alive and I’m forever grateful. Her wisdom and guidance move me. She’s a role-model. A virtuous woman. Someone I find myself striving to be. I love you mommy.

Happy Mothers Day to every mother! And also to every father who plays both parents! Y’all are truly appreciated!

  7. Let’s not decieve ourselves people.

They say you attract what you project. Then why do I constantly see Grade A assholes expecting a good person to be by their side.

    Smh. Just a thought.

  10. Growing up I was always insecure..

But I’ve realized that being insecure was like a blessing in disguise for me. In the moments where I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror, I began to look within and develop traits that meant more. Instead of thinking I was top notch and too good, I viewed myself as a regular person. Granted I shouldn’t have confused self-respect with arrogance, but I look back and think that insecurity kind of brings about humility. Even though I’ve learned to accept me, I don’t value physical appearance over anything. It’s not to say that I allow myself to look like whatever in public lol, but it is to say that I don’t base my association on mere appearances only.

  11. I just finished that darn paper!

    (Sigh)

  12. I’m currently writing an 8 page research paper and I decided to listen to this classic. As I scrolled down the page, I stumbled on this comment:

‘Lil Kim stood her own on tunes with the greatest rapper ever BIGGIE, Nicki sorry but you will never be Hardcore’

    Get money y’all..

  13. There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.

  15. Theives in the Night..

“Give me the fortune, keep the fame,” said my man Louis
I agreed, know what he mean because we live the truest lie
I asked him why we follow the law of the bluest eye
He looked at me, he thought about it
    Was like, “I’m clueless, why?”
The question was rhetorical, the answer is horrible
Our morals are out of place and got our lives full of sorrow
And so tomorrow comin later than usual
Waitin’ on someone to pity us
While we findin beauty in the hideous
